What Is Thai Massage?
Thai massage is a dry, clothed technique originating in Thailand that combines acupressure, passive yoga-like stretching, and rhythmic compression along the body's energy lines (called sen lines).
You remain fully clothed in loose-fitting garments provided by the spa. No oils are used. The therapist uses their hands, thumbs, elbows, knees, and feet to apply pressure and guide the body through stretching positions.
Sessions typically last 60 to 120 minutes. The experience can feel intense, particularly if the therapist works deep into shoulder, hip, or lumbar points. Always communicate your pressure preference at the start of the session.
